Hunter's birthday

So unfortunately, Hunter's birthday was kinda lame. As I was telling Melanie, I underestimated my four year old, thinking he wouldn't know the difference between a party with friends or just hanging out with the family. He definitely noticed. I felt so bad. All day he kept making references to the "party" and "everyone will be there". I felt absolutely awful. You can bet I will never underestimate my kids ever again. He was very excited about his Diego bike and Mason too. Mason likes to try to ride it, but he can't climb up. After his birthday, Ken took Hunter to spend some of the birthday money that was sent to him and he got a cool Black and Decker tool bench. It's pretty awesome. Who knows, maybe he'll grow up to be a carpenter and be handy like his grandpa (Ken Sr.) I'll get some video hopefully soon of him playing with the tools.

My Halloween Party

A friend of mine from work had a Halloween party this past weekend. Lynanne and I went as Hooters Girls. Considering I already had the costume, it didn't cost us anything. It was funny watching all the guys reactions to our outfits. Keep in mind they usually see us in black slacks, button shirt and tie. These boys were in heaven. It was fun getting back in the uniform again. I put the Adam and Eve picture up (That is Dara and Jesse) because I just thought their costumes were so funny.

Another warm Halloween

Oops, I forgot to rotate these. Sorry!!

Hunter is hoarding all the lollipops

So we got lucky with another fairly warm Halloween. It makes trick or treating so much more fun when you're not freezing. How funny that we are home now, it's 9 o'clock and all our family back home is probably just getting started. We were just about to leave the house to go trick or treating and Ken went outside to find a little boy had smashed all our pumpkins. What a little bastard. That was actually before we even had a single trick or treater. Well. Ken chased him off, but I'm sure he went around and destroyed more property. That's the price you pay for living in the ghetto. I sure wish we were around all the fam. I'm really jealous we weren't able to go to the Halloween party. Miss and love you all!!

The Pumpkin Patch

I was so excited to find a pumpkin patch around here. We drove somewhat aimlessly, but found one in Connecticut. It wasn't as good as Green Bluff, but we had fun. There was a tractor hay ride and a corn and hay maze and a petting zoo. Hunter did not want to have his face painted, but I think that would have been so cute.
We went shopping the other day because we've been planning to get Hunter a bike for his birthday, so we all went to look and while Ken bought the bike and hid it in the car, I was shopping for other stuff. When we got back to the car, Hunter started to freak out "We forgot to borrow my Diego bike, oh no. " He was so upset. (He says borrow when he wants something from the store) It was really sad, but I know he'll be excited on his birthday. Hopefully we'll still have a little more sunshine so he can get some bikeriding in before winter starts.

The changing leaves

Today I had to drive to Boston for another egg donor thing. It was gay, but the leaves were very pretty. I tried to take some pictures through the car window, but it didn't do them justice. I guess you all will just have to come over here to see the New England fall weather.

Snoring

It's 2 am and I can't sleep. At first, I thought I was a dork, cuz I had some work things on my mind, so I wrote an email to my managers. But now thats done and I still can't sleep. There's a good chance it may have something to do with Ken's ridiculously loud snoring, but who knows!!
Earlier when I was laying there my mind wandered to being young and when mom used to sing "Walk Tall, You're a Daughter" I really love that song. I got a little teary eyed just thinking about that and that I'll never have a daughter to sing that to. Do I want more kids? I don't know. Not right now. Maybe some day. My second egg donor recipients got pregnant!! 2 in a row, that's pretty good. I'm guessing that the first couple are gonna have a girl. I wonder if I'll find that out.
OK, gonna try to sleep now. Good night

Lost and Found

I took my wedding ring off late last night to make cinnamon rolls. I didn't want any dough getting in it. Oops, I forgot to put it back on and this morning it was missing. We asked Hunter. He was genuine and didn't know where it was so Ken searched the trash and there it was. That had Mason's name all over it. So from now on I'll just wear it no matter what I'm doing.

Yesterday I got a phone call from Dad, as most of you did also. He was curious about birth control and wanting to know my experiences with it. It was funny because he asked how old I was when I started taking the pill and the second I said fourteen, the phone cuts off. You can imagine how mortified I was at that moment, dialing over and over again to get him back on the line so I could explain myself. Ken said it was like a cingular commercial. It was quite funny.

Videos from Splashdown

A message for Faith

I asked Hunter to make a little message for Faith. It definitely took a little coaxing to get him to say anything good, but I think he was a tad confused. Mason wanted to make a movie too. He is so cute lately singing little random songs, though, I gotta say, it was not so cute at midnight last night (when he had already been in bed for hours) . He was singing and yelling at the top of his lungs. If he couldn't sleep he didn't want Hunter to either.
We had a lightning storm tonight with the hardest rain I've ever seen. I tried to make a video, but I think it's too dark. Mason enjoyed watching and every time the lightning would flash he would clap his hands and giggle. It was so cute.

Ok, so I tried and the video turned out like crap, but you can hear how hard it's raining. Ken keeps telling me that I am a little video crazy and I'm wasting memory card space. Oh well. I like them.

Bath Time

I love to take bathtub pictures. They are just so cute. And this is about the only time you'll see them clean. Don't you just love Hunter's face.

Catching up

I love this one, a rare peaceful moment
Carter and Reece
Dad and Helena
Meghan, Matt and Michelle
Carter, Reece and Mason
Nichole, Marshall and Bode at our family gathering in August
Hunter's team the "Allstars"
I know these are out of order, but oh well. This is us at Forest Park in Springfield feeding the ducks and geese. They walk right up to you and take it out of your hand. Crazy!!
Some nice guy offered to take a picture of us all. (He thought I was cute)
Mason at the soccer game
Hunter is playing hard
Hunter with his soccer buddies watching from the sidelines

Just had some time

I have an opportunity to log on and unfortunately have nothing to say. I had to wake up ridiculously early (8:30) to go to a work meeting this morning. We are rolling out some new alcoholic drinks at work and for the meeting we sampled them all. That was kinda fun getting a little buzz at 9am. So I'm very upset because I talked with management about training for being a manager and they made it sound so promising and yesterday they told me that I need to go the extra mile and stand out above the rest if I want to train and that's pretty much crap. I don't know what more they want me to do, but now my feelings are hurt, cuz I know I'm a good worker. Whatever!! Ok, thats it for today. It's still too early for anything eventful.

Dinner

Tonight we went out to dinner. It was well needed since Ken and I haven't seen too much of each other lately. I, of course, had an alcoholic beverage with my dinner and as we're driving home, Ken says hold on tight kids, mommy is drunk. Hunter is very impressionable these days and repeated Ken word for word. So, great, that is going to be one of Hunter's first memories I think, along with seeing me sleeping on the bathroom floor on Easter morning after a long night of drinking. I swear I don't have a problem!!
Not much else went on today. We went to Wal-mart for some stuff and I ended up getting Hunter a little racetrack and some balls for Mason and then Hunter wanted "flarp" (Mel, I know you know what that is) so I got it. (Partly for me though) and then they wanted lollipops and of course I let them. They are so cute, I just can't say no. We came home and fed Toka some crickets and now we are going to watch a movie. Good night.

Kids are funny

So not much went on today. We hung out at home while Ken was at school. Mason learned about flushing the toilet and sat in the bathroom with me while I got ready and continually flushed the toilet. As soon as the water would stop rushing, he would flush again. Over and over. Luckily we don't pay the water bill.
After work I came home to a little barking Hunter dog, who calls himself Abby, by the way. He had a belt tied around his waist and Ken was walking him around the living room. Hunter barked at the milk carton he had gotten from the fridge and I poured him a bowl and set it on the floor. He lapped it up and pawed at it. It was really funny. I took a funny picture. Wish you could see it. Thats all for the day. Not too exciting.

Trying

I apologize for not getting this going sooner. I don't get much of a chance to get online seeing as we have only Ken's laptop. He's using it ALL THE TIME!!! So, update... on Friday my poor baby Hunter was somersaulting on the couch and cracked his head open on the coffee table. We took him in to the doctor and they had to give him 3 staples(not stitches) on the back of his head. The stuff they used to numb the wound did not take full effect and Hunter felt them staple his head closed. That was very sad, but he was so brave and he was singing songs and reading books in the room while we waited.
Saturday was uneventful as far as I can recall(I have a terrible memory)
Sunday we had a soccer game to go to, even though Hunter couldn't play. I love to watch all the other kids. We lost our game for the first time this season.
Yesterday, Monday, we stayed home all day. We have only one car now, cuz Ken's is broken. So we were stranded, but we made halloween m+m cookies and personal pizzas for dinner(not cookies for dinner). We took some cute pics. I sure wish I could get them on here.
OK, love you all. More to come soon, I hope.
