Flights

So I'm very excited that Adrea might possibly plan to come here to visit. Ken said he found some super cheap flights in October, so we might have to wait until then and just me and the kids would come. He also had a brilliant plan that anyone who wants us to come should pitch in some money and then we'd all be happy. LOL!! I don't really have anything else to say, just wanted to give a little update.

Majorly bummed out

So last night we were looking for flights to Spokane. A month ago they were between 200-300 dollars. Now they're more like $700. If we don't catch a break we won't be able to come. We have to get 4 tickets because Mason is too big to be a lap child anymore and we aren't sure what to do with Sonny. Take him and spend that additional cash or pay a pet sitter. I don't know, but I'm definitely stressed out about this. I have a bad feeling.

Getting to know the neighbors

Today our neighbors invited us to a memorial day bbq. It was very nice and we got to meet several of the neighbors in our complex. Mostly, because these are privately owned condos, our neighbors are all old. It was kindof awkward being the only young people until some of their kids, grandkids and great grandkids arrived. All in all, it was a good time. The boys had fun and they got to take some bubbles home. It was really nice having picnic food, actually, the salads, deviled eggs, hot dogs on the grill. I miss family gatherings with delicious food. I have a feeling we'll be invited to more gatherings and I'm excited. Bye.

Finally, pictures

I am finally posting pictures from our day at the butterfly conservatory. It was very awesome. They really liked Ken and would land on him, but the rest of us had to try to catch them(which you're not supposed to do.)
Hunter ready to catch one.
Very cool.
Random picture: Hunter baking muffins in the apron we got from grandma.
Ken is very excited to be riding the helicopter in Wiggles World at Six Flags.Who is having more fun, Ken or the kids?
Out of order, Mason having icecream at the butterfly museum. I love that it's on the wall in the background.
Our whole family.
Too good, no comment.
Hunter loved the carousel.
Mason, not so much.
I look fat. No looking up my dress.
Riding the Thomas train.
Having icecream while dad rides a big people ride.

We had so much fun this weekend and are so excited to be so close to the park. It's nice to know that we definitely will get our money's worth. Come visit, people.

Six Flags

Today we decided to get season passes to Six Flags New England for this summer. Ken and I will both have weekends off and we are super excited to plan some family outings. So we went today to check out the park and it's gonna be a fun filled summer. They have Wiggles town for kids and Thomas town. The water park is pretty kid friendly with the wading pool and stuff. Actually the park is so big we didn't get to see what all it has to offer. My friend Lynanne is actually working there this summer, so hopefully her and I will be able to ride some big people rides together and she'll get in for free. Plus some of Ken's friends owe us some babysitting, so that will be good. Having all the free guest passes makes me want someone to come here to visit all the more. (Melanie, any plans for a family vacation?) The park is only 20 minutes away. It makes me feel so lucky, because Silverwood was always a long drive. People come from all over to go to Six Flags. There was like a school group of teenagers from Quebec or something. (I'm guessing Quebec because they were speaking french.) So please come visit. Love you all.

Negativo

So sorry if anyone (Nichole) was super excited about the prospect of me being pregnant. It's a big fat no, thank God. I haven't been able to post because of moving. We are finally in the new place, though not quite unpacked. I still have to scrub the old house down a little, so that's annoying. As soon as I get the transfer cord to my camera I will put some pictures up, but for now I have to take Hunter to school. Love and hugs to everyone.

Pee house

My house stinks like pee. Sonny likes to pee everywhere but his puppy pads. Since we are moving I rolled up the rug that was under our dining room table and it was covered in piss stains on the bottom that weren't visible on the top. No wonder none of the hundreds of air fresheners I bought have been working. Needless to say, that rug went straight to the trash. I hope he doesn't do that in the new house because it is all carpeting there as compared to our hardwood floors that it's easy to wipe up the messes.
I got my bedroom set. Yea!!! I can't wait until Sunday, our first night staying there.
My period is late. I took a pregnancy test today at my gyno's office. Hopefully it's just a side effect of doing my egg retrievals so close together, but man it sure is freaking me out. Results tomorrow.

My bedroom

This is our new bedroom set. Ours has a footboard too and the tops are like faux marble. Sooo pretty.

Eggs

So I got a call today to do another egg donation here in Mass. again. This will be a 10 thousand dollar retrieval. Crazy, huh?! That will be happening this summer. I may be cycling and on hormones while we are home visiting.
Anyway, My agency that I work through has a clinic in Spokane that they work with and are looking for local donors. They will match a local donor faster and easier than one they have to bring in from another city. Andrea asked me to pass the word along to anyone interested or if you all know anyone that is interested. If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them or give you the contact info for Andrea. She has been a donor herself and now coordinates for all the donors through her agency, and she is super nice and accomodating. Let me know.

My Mother's Day.....

......was soooo awesome. It was definitely the best one ever. I slept in and woke up to the kids waiting with presents. They got me a necklace that says"A mother holds her childs heart forever" and a windchime to put up at our new home(moving this week and next) Hunter handcrafted my card with roses, pumpkins and a giraffe and signed his own name. Very awesome. Then they left to go get me Starbucks while I got ready for the day. For those who don't know, there aren't too many Starbucks over here and it is a wonderful treat. They came home and Ken and I each had a morning time Mimosa( champagne and OJ) and then we left to go to the butterfly conservatory in a nearby town. This place was so awesome and peaceful. Even though it seemed like everyone thought it would be a good idea to take their moms there on Mother's day and it was pretty packed. It was just so beautiful and fun. The butterflies just land on people and you can hold them. Ken packed the transfer cord so I can't load the pictures, but next week I will. I got a cute butterfly bracelt and some earrings to match and a butterfly cookie cutter. Fun. We had icecream cones and then we went shopping for a new bedroom set. I'm so excited. We've never had a nice bedroom set so I can't wait for it to be delivered on Thursday. We are having it delivered to the new place, so I get to sit in an empty apartment for three or four hours and wait for the delivery guys. Very exciting. Then we went to dinner at Red Robin. I love that place. That was pretty much our day. I watched desperate housewives and went to bed. Wonderful day. I wish they could all be that great.
So, completely off subject, but I just thought of it. Mason scared me today. As you know we are packing to move and my china cabinet is now empty so Mason decided it would be a good place to hide. he started to cry and I went to check on him. He was wedged in the middle of the doors and cockeyed and so screwed up stuck I thought I would have to call 911 to get him out. His poor little chubby belly was all smashed and stuck and he was screaming. He didn't understand what I was telling him to do to maneuver him out. It was very sad and a pretty frustrating 15 minutes. Luckily I didn't have to call the ambulance. Poor guy.
Well, happy mothers day to anyone I didn't get to tell yesterday. Hopefully I will update soon, but you all know how I am.

No motivation

So I just read everybody's blogs for like the first time in forever. I am very proud of everyone that is taking part in the weight loss challenge. I, however, seriously hate working out and I can't get motivated to do anything. All I want to do is sleep. I'm very depressed. I was thinking of joining a gym that has childcare and tanning. That would probably be good for all of us, but the motivation even to go get the membership isn't there. I can't wait to come home to visit.
Ken's last day of school was yesterday. He has been going out and getting drunk these last couple of nights. I'm a little jealous. I wish I had people to go out with.
We are packing for our move across town next week. I hate moving.
Bye.
