Silverwood

What a fun, exhausting day at Silverwood. This day too is in the running for my favorite day at home. It was great meeting Stephanie. She's adorable. And hanging out with Matty, of course. You guys are all lucky ducks for getting to see each other as often as you want. Love to all.

Girls' night out. (With some boys)

What a fun night. Possibly my favorite part about the trip home. Marshall and Nichole, you guys should have been there. You missed out. It sure was fun hangin' out with cousin Craig. Too bad Kati wasn't there. What a little stinker!

Pictures from the Barbecue

I am so glad I got to see everyone. I definitely would have liked more time with some of the family, but I really enjoyed my time in Spokane. I can't wait for next time.

My poor baby

I spent my 4th of July at the doggy emergency room. My poor Sonny had an accident. (Landed on his paw wrong) It is dislocated and he is in need of surgery. It will cost more than $3000. I don't know what I am going to do. I hope there is an alternative for us, cuz I know longer have that kind of money. Sonny is so funny. He has just as much energy as ever. He hops along on his three paws like nothing happened. He still wants to wrestle with the kids. Wish me luck with this one.

The reason we went

We had a reporter from the New York Times with us the whole time. Hopefully we will have been able to build some awareness.

Adorable. I love it.

We spent the morning marching peacefully around the court buildings and in the afternoon, a lot of the people, including Ken met with representatives for the senators. It was very productive. They made a video on YouTube of the march if anyone would like to see it. Just look up on You Tube: HARMD.

Our trip to D.C.

The Capitol Building all lit up and gorgeous at night
Ken in front of the Supreme Court building
The Washington monument
The Lincoln Memorial
World War 2 Memorial. The Ken's were representin'
As close as we could get to the White House. A short while later, three helicopters flew over. One had the president in it.
The Washington Monument again

Well, we had a very nice trip to D.C. It was soooo exhausting. The amount of walking that you do to see all the monuments is crazy. The kids really enjoyed riding the metro. Our hotel was a great location. A block from Union Station, which is where you catch the train to ride their underground subway to where you want to go. (Just in case some of you haven't experienced that.) Like three blocks from the Capitol Building and all the court buildings. All in all it was pretty great, just really exhausting.
