Summer Fun

Hunter had his last day of school last Tuesday, so we've been trying to occupy our time. We went to our local zoo and saw all the animals. We also found this cool little park that has a swimming area in a pond and a playground and all the sports areas. It totally reminded me of Medical Lake and all the time we spent there as kids. I definitely plan on making that park a regular hangout. Today we went to the butterfly conservatory again. I love that place so much. It actually was storming out today and inside the conservatory, the rain was so loud and echoing. The kids were a little freaked out. I took a ton of pictures of the butterflies. I think I'm going to frame them all and put them in the bathroom or something in a design.
Ken's dad decided last minute to come visit, so he will arrive on Wednesday and stay for a week. Next weekend is the march for HARMD (Helping America Reduce Methadone Deaths) in Washington D.C. so it's really pretty great that Ken Sr. will get to come over and be a part of getting rid of Methadone. A lot of you know how active he has been in speaking to youth about losing Timmy, so hopefully this will help him emotionally too.
I don't know if Adrea is still planning to come visit. We haven't spoken about that in a while. I definitely want to plan an alone trip this summer, so I should probably get on that. That's all for now.

Sunglasses Poses

We went to the toy store to get a birthday gift for Hunter's friend at school and, of course, came home with something for the boys too. I can't tell them no.

Soccer is over

Another trophy, Hunter is so proud
Too cute
Mason thought he should get one too. It was cute but kinda sad.
Very handsome

It was sooo hot in the place. These are pity smiles.

We had quite a fun evening tonight. We had soccer awards, which was fun and exciting to watch Hunter get his trophy, but immediately after that we went to go see Kung Fu Panda, the new movie with Jack Black. It was so good. Both Ken and I loved it and it was totally kid friendly. The fight scenes were pretty intense so it held the kids attention well. During like the serious, quiet moments, Hunter would yell out something like "why is that happening, mom" It wasn't too embarrassing though because there were lots of kids there. They did really good. That was the first movie we have all gone to together.

Summer Time

It has been very hot these past couple weeks, so the kids get to have lots of popsicles. This was probably the third one of the day. I just thought they looked so cute and happy. Poor Sonny wanted a treat too.

Six Flags

Well the scanning process went a lot faster than I thought it would. So Ken and I rode something called the Daredevil Drop. It hoists you up 130 ft. and then you pull a rip cord and you fall and fall and fall. It was sooooo awesome and scary. We did it twice. Ken had to pull the cord. There is no way I could have. We would have been hanging in the air all day if it were up to me. After the drop you swing back and forth for a while to slow down before they unhook you. Everyone who knows me, knows how motion sick I get. So after the second drop, I was so close to puking on the ride attendants as they unhooked us. It was all I could do to hold it in. After that we got in line for another ride. It took about half an hour. It was our version of Thunder Canyon and the waves and the spinning in circles put me over the edge. I turned around and puked right in the water. Ewwww! The people we were on the ride with had no idea, either. It was very nonchalant. Gross, huh, that everyone that rode that ride all day was splashed with my puke water. Haha!! We had a very fun day doing all the rides that the kids are too small for. It was a blast.

Hunter at soccer

I wanted to put up some pictures of Hunter from soccer this season. We had our last game on Saturday and these are the first pictures I've put up. They were undefeated! Yea!! We will be taking the summer season off and then in the fall, Mason and Hunter will be playing on the same team. Even though, technically Mason is too young, the coach said it would be OK for him to play because he has been coming to all the practices now for a year. So that will be really cute.
We just bought Ken a new computer so I finally get to have this one to keep at home. I am very excited about that. I am working on scanning in some pics from Ken's and mine outing to Six flags without the kids, so some fabulous pics to come hopefully.
